Dani Bustillo (they/them) is a fourth-year Ph.D. candidate in the Visual Studies program and student in the Graduate Feminist Emphasis in the Department of Gender and Sexuality at UC Irvine. Their work considers counter-security media practices rooted in the everyday that emerge from trans Latinx communities.

I would firstly like to acknowledge the land in which I occupy and the original indigenous keep sakers of that land.

Jessica Delgado is a Queer, Two Spirited  Chicana y  Latina woman who is currently in graduate school and anarchist archivist. My areas of focus are English with a Concentration in Hemispheric and Transatlantic Studies and Cultural Studies with a Concentration in Museum Studies. The dedication of my work is examining the creation of the term ‘refugee’, im/migration patterns and traumatic effects of the Civil War in El Salvador on its people, paying particular attention to the indigenous, womxn and adolescent communities that are often overlooked. I am also writing on different parts of the punk scene, paying special attention to womxn, queer and BIPOC.  In my free time, I continue to publish my poetry and short stories in print and digital format and am invested in theater as an author and performer with the Breath of Fire Latina Theater Ensemble.

Marisa Hicks-Alcaraz (she/they) is the daughter of a Mexican, Indigenous Rarámuri (Tarahumara), and Arab immigrant mother and an Anglo-Celtic American father. I’m currently a Distinguished Post-Doctoral Research Associate in the Department of Media and Cinema Studies at University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign with a focus on grassroots digital media archiving and critical ethnic and race studies. In my free time, I enjoy walking my dogs Leila and Nava, drawing, watching horror movies, and kickin it with my nephew.

Brittany Ribeiro Brown is a MSW and Doctoral Student in Social Work and Psychology at the University of Michigan. I study the various ways in which white supremacy and racism create health inequities.
